First graders: Did you have a FUN and EXCITING first day of school today? I know that I did! Phew, I am exhausted! :) Parents, I hope that your child told you all about our day together today! We read a few books about school and first grade, we colored a first day of first grade picture (using color words), we started our very cute memory book about our first day of school, we had Art class, lunch, recess, and we played a few games! WOW, that is a lot! Oh, and we also talked about class and school rules and why certain rules are important! Attached are some cute class photos that were taken today, as well as some pictures of our classroom! Can't wait to see you all again tomorrow!

Very soon, I will get to meet each and every one of you and we will be spending each day together! I can't wait! I hope you all have been having a very fun summer with your friends and family! I sure have had a good summer! My summer began with celebrating my birthday, enjoying time in a swimming pool, and spending time with my friends and family! My Grandma was so happy that I got to spend time with her! Then, I flew in an airplane to Santa Barbara, CA, where I worked with high school students from all over the world, including countries like Kuwait, Spain, France, Italy, China, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, England, and more! We went to many fun places, like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Six Flags, roller skating, Raging Waters waterpark, museums, Hollywood and many more! I even got to hold a baby shark (in the pictures below) and had the chance to sail in a sailboat on the Pacific Ocean! The best part of all? I lived right next to the Pacific Ocean- it was beautiful! I ended my summer with reading some really good books, spending more time with my family, and getting ready for another fun and fantastic school year! I want to get to know every single one of you, so that we are all friends! In the comment section below, Can you please tell me a little bit about yourself and what you did this summer (with help from your Mom and Dad!)? We will also share our summer stories on the first day of school with all of our friends! I can't wait to see you on our first day of school, Wednesday, August 27! Enjoy the rest of your summer break! I don't know about you, but I was so excited (and nervous!) this morning for our first day of school! All first graders had a fantastic first day, and we all had a lot of fun! As one student put it, "Time flies when you're having fun", and boy, did today go by quickly! We played a fun game to get to know Ms. Riplinger, had music class, created a first day of school book, practiced writing our numbers, and read a book about the first day of school in first grade! Wow, that was a lot!
See pictures below that we took this morning on our first day of school! So excited for this school year! |
